Presentation rehearsal plan guide
Choose a 10-minute presentation allocation from three rehearsals
Compare where the introduction, demo, and close took time across three runs. Keep actuals, the target, and a 30-second rehearsal as separate artifacts.
Measure three stages across three runs
The synthetic trials total 11 minutes, 10 minutes 30 seconds, and 9 minutes 30 seconds. The median trial total is 630 seconds.
| Trial | Intro | Demo | Close | Total |
|---|
| T1 | 120 sec | 360 sec | 180 sec | 660 sec |
| T2 | 120 sec | 330 sec | 180 sec | 630 sec |
| T3 | 90 sec | 300 sec | 180 sec | 570 sec |
The stage-median sum also happens to be 630 seconds here; a trial-total median is not always the sum of stage medians.
Choose what to shorten yourself
This example shortens the introduction by 30 seconds and keeps a 330-second demo and 180-second close. It does not infer importance automatically; record the choice for the next rehearsal.
actual median: 630 seconds
choice: intro 90 / demo 330 / close 180
target: 600 seconds
Build the 600-second cue card
The cumulative cues are 00:00, 01:30, 07:00, and 10:00. The original actuals remain unchanged. Loading the plan does not auto-start a timer.
| Start | End | Stage | Seconds |
|---|
| 00:00 | 01:30 | Intro | 90 |
| 01:30 | 07:00 | Demo | 330 |
| 07:00 | 10:00 | Close | 180 |
Keep the 30-second experience separate
The short rehearsal uses 5 seconds for intro, 16 for demo, and 9 for close. It is not the 600-second plan or a live presentation record.
