Time log / cost statement guide
Keep elapsed seconds, excluded time, hourly rate, and rounding unit/rule on the same row before checking the total.
The synthetic formula is billable seconds × hourly rate ÷ 3,600. Keep both raw and excluded seconds before rounding.
| Condition | Value to check | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Elapsed time | Raw seconds | 3,661 seconds |
| Excluded time | Seconds left out | 61 seconds |
| Hourly rate | Amount per hour | ¥2,500 |
| Rounding | Unit and rule | ¥100, nearest |
Do not round to one hour before applying the rate. First establish billable seconds, calculate the raw amount, then apply the stated unit and rule.
3,661 sec − 61 sec= 3,600 billable sec× ¥2,500 ÷ 3,600= ¥2,5001 sec × ¥100,000 ÷ 3,600= ¥27.77...¥1 unit, round up= ¥28Pass raw seconds, excluded seconds, billable seconds, rate, rounding condition, and amount on the same row. Do not hand off only the total.
